Titanic-era blouse! What to wear with it?

I just inherited this very lovely blouse. It's a very casual piece; it looks like it was originally worn for leisure activities.

It's fitted, but the cut is very loose, as was the fashion.

Do any of you fashion-forward ladies have any suggestions of what to wear it with? Both modern and period ideas are welcome!

Thanks. ;)

Ooh, pretty blouse--lucky you!

I've seen them worn with gored skirts for a more traditional look, or over a camisole with jeans. Open, as a little jacket? You'll have fun playing around with different looks.

Nice long hobble type skirt and some vintage undies (shift/Camisole type)
Simplicity do a good hobble pattern skirt.
Modern? with jeans and some cool beads!
Lucky you!

I used to wear them with blue jeans, like Kitty said.
For period wear Folkwear makes a great pattern for a walking skirt, and it has a shorter option for a more modern version. I wear the long skirt a lot in winters with Victorian looking blouses. Lots of fun :)
Maybe a longer A-line linen skirt would be pretty, too, especially in a Khaki like Out of Africa.
