"trapper" hat

well, I wrote an elaborate message that seems to have gotten lost. I'm looking for a hat to be worn in the deep woods, not around town. I'm looking at synthetic shell real fur trapper hats from "Fur Hat World" and "Mad Bomber". Any thoughts on quality differences? Metal vs plastic buckle? The metal would be cold if it were to touch my skin... thanks.
