Very interesting "old sounding" song about General McArthur!

Has anyone heard this?

I heard this yesterday playing in the record store and had to buy the album! Love the lyrics - couldn't believe my ears - singing about General Douglas McArthur!:eek:;):D

I can't listen to it here at work (I will when I get home). But remember, General MacArthur was Chief of Staff for the Army as far back as 1933, so he was well known for a long long time.

MacArthur?

Mention him to some of the vets of the Somme, The St Mihel defensive sector, Aisne-Marne, the Meuse-Argonne, or Ypres-Lys on whom troops advanced, bayonets drawn, at his order.

Neither these veterans, nor the family of Bernard Meyers would have much truck with the cannonisation of this deeply flawed man, I think.
