Whew! The dead bird was only attached to the original ribbon with pug type hooks leaving only two small pin holes rubbed away with a bit of water.
Nice hat. Wish it were one size bigger.

Ain’t it the dang truth!
But at least for me, I can sometimes get some of em to stretch a bit without unsightly crown taper. If there’s already some taper in a crown I won’t even try, but some hats can make a single tick upsize without ruining the front or side profile.

Another swell one arrived today and I wanted to ask you if you have seen something similar — a colored debossing like found on this Stetson:
I have to wait to get more pics as the four-hat lot would not fit in the back of the Jeep this trip to the farm.
