Gorgeous hats (and pics) as always, Eric.Sunday early morning dog soirée wearing a "St.Lawrence by the makers of the Brock." Another pre 40's Hurley's Canadian fedora. Overwelt is excellent.
Morning and afternoon found me in a cap.
A visit to Hawk's Ridge in order to view the 2021 raptor migration. By 1:00pm 3,248 raptors had been seen.
A Cordova cap made from Magee Donegal wool was perfect for the cool and breezy weather on the bluffs and lake shore.
Lunch was a smoked lake trout.
A visit to Jay Cooke State Park in the afternoon made apparent the lack of rainfall in the area.
The St.Louis River usually is fast with white water. On this day it was about 1/2 as high with still areas.
This mornings dog adventure was made wearing a Borsolino. This Escosa is in the color Mufalone. It is a luxurious long haired felt.
Cheers, Eric -
The ribbon on that Lion kills it, Joe.Arrived at my father-in-law’s condo and found these two standing guard. I guess they were looking for a meal of lizzard/baby iguana. Pretty cool.

And an open weave (sea grass I think) to replace a few pieces of sod and install a couple of plants in front of the AC unit. Apparently the HOA decided to make a new rule without telling anyone…. OR.. enforcing an old original rule that hasn’t been mentioned in the twenty years I been here. Shrug.

Have a great day!
Fabulous!Good evening. I went for a walkabout in a Feather weight Champ.
It may be a feather weight, but the hat punches above it's weight in quality and cool ribbon treatment.

Equally fabulous!A dog soirre in a homburg kind of morning.

Let's face it though: you MUST wear that one, Joe.While I’m not one to give too much deference to hat rules such as.. “Can’t wear straws before…..” or “must wear felt after….” Or vice versa. Today being National Felt Hat Day I felt the need to break out this one fine piece of felt.

Such a beautiful unique old fedora worn fabulously!
I think it can go with whatever it wants! Great hat, Bill.I didn't think this Bone from Northwest Hats would be a good candidate for casual outfits. I was wrong.

Hats of incredible beauty!Good morning folks. Morning dog soirée in another pre-40's Brock fedora from Surley, NB. This brown back bowed hat has a really striking bronze thread on the overwelt.
Adding cream to my coffee I was inspired to change to a cream hued Brock for a walkabout. This pre 40's fedora is marked with the retailer name Hurleys, St.John's, N.B. The Brock hats were made in the Brockville, Canadian hat plant.

Serious hat RandallView attachment 362380 Early 40s Vita-Felt.
Since it was missing when I bought it and the only thing Amiss with this wonderful old fedora I had to make an era correct size tag.
This and a late 40s Knox will stand in my collection as my only black fedoras. View attachment 362364 View attachment 362366 View attachment 362367

Thanks, Joe.Serious hat Randall
As per usual, that Borsalino is just about perfect, but the crown height and the color of the Dobbs is just fantastic!
Ten times?….lightweight.
