Royal Stetson Playboy. One of my best hats. The felt is sooo soft and light. Color is not accurate; it is a pale blue/gray.

I have a plane ticket back to Southeast Asia in a few months and am starting to think through the gear I’ll take. The hardest choice is the hat.

SE Asia is tough on lids so whichever goes with has to hold up well under heat and rain, be fun to wear, and be replaceable.

This heritage fawn Fed IV does fit all those criteria. Also under consideration is the silverbelly Campdraft, the modern Premier Stratoliner, or just going with a canvas hat.
