Hi everyone, this is my first post here I want to share with you about an insane deal recently got this schott b3 for $70 at a garage sale.
I can see that the color of the back had faded significantly compared to the front, the shoulders are losing color and there are numerous white “dots” on the right arm and torso. Are these just normal wears of time and the finish used on old schott or the leather is flaking, dry or cracking. What is your opinion about the condition of the jacket? See pictures below.

Unfortunately no, I have tried to wipe it with mixture of vinegar and water then brush with saddle soap but the white spots remain

The leather does not look dry. No flaking or cracking. I would say it looks normal for an older jacket. You did the right thing with water/vinegar wipe. I would not try anything harsher. Part of the $70 deal.
