It was a movie called "Red Skies Over Montana" with Richard Widmark that started my hat obsession a few years ago. I liked the one he was wearing and tried to get something close. A couple hundred hats later and I'm still trying!

I just brought him up because I went to HS with him and he's probably the only semi-name I knew from back then...unless you include an admiral and a parish priest.
Besides that, he's a jazz drummer. Wouldn't expect you to list him as an influence. Some evening when we're swapping stories I'll tell you about the great prank I played on him...and he never figured out who it was.
