WWII Public Display/USO Dance - August 19th & 20th, Harvard, IL

Had a great time this weekend in Harvard, IL at a WWII encampment/public display. There was also a Vietnam exhibit with a traveling Memorial Wall. Between the two set-ups, there were veterans coming through our camp on a constant basis and we got to chat with and mostly listen to their stories all day.

In other news, I hitched a ride on the tank.

AAAHHH Harvard where the large bovine welcomes you to town....Photos look great, THANKS. Where on earth did they get the Tiger I?

It was a Russian t-34 mocked up as a tiger for the movie Saving Private Ryan. It was privately bought & then shipped here. The current owners have other German vehicles & artillery that they restore and use for the hobby.
