Both are good on you. You wear the hat well. That's one thing I like about brims, with most hats you can change them to suit the moment.

Tom - yes, the hat came with the branding iron pin (at least from Delmonico's, not sure about other vendors). As soon as I get this sucker to stick in a long oval shape, I'm going to be absolutely satisfied. Much better than expected overall. Frank

Sweet! My Road Master had this gold, block letter STETSON pin, would've much rather gotten the branding iron!!!! It took some "training" to get the RM to fit my oblong noggin & it is much softer than your OR.

Actually, my Open Road, ordered from Shepler's I think, came with the "JBS" branding iron too. I would have been OK with the STETSON pin too though.

It is not as tough as a teardrop or diamond to me Alexander. It is just a center dent that starts real low in the front & doesn't go all the way to the back. The key for me is that low front pinch & grabbing the dent from the inside to shape it. HTH

I had is patched by Shorty's in OKC then did the stitching myself. After posting here in the Lounge, it got labeled Frankenstetson...

If you added some crocodile teeth to is you'd of had the white equivalent to the Crocodile Dundee hat. Then you can tell of some great Croc story to go along with it.

Knowing gtdean he probably has wrestled a couple of gators. I never have personally. The closest thing I've come to it is wrestling a very mean wild hog I had to kill with a bowie knife.

I was flipping channels two nights ago and saw one of the cooking shows dump a whole roast pig from the chicken wire into the big metal serving pan. The dude took out the tusks and handed them to the show's host. They were nice and long, they would be good on the hat too.
