You can't be THAT old. You're still awake at this hour. Most old folks I thought watched Lawrence Welk, then went to bed because 'who can stay up late enough to watch Johnny Carson?' lol

You're old :p Actually so am I, but you're still older :p
I heard one time, someone found a rather old box of soda crackers that had been left for many many years in some cabinet in the basement of the home they had just moved into. Now this person was a long time friend of mine and showed it to me upon my visiting them.

They made the comment to me about how really old that box of soda crackers were and that maybe they would have a value being as old as they are?

There was a date on the box, I was older than the box by a good 20 years or so. It made me think of two things:
1). Man am I old!
2). For my age, I am doing really good, and I know I looked far better than that box of crackers!

Watch out now, LovesMyHats2 is in...the...house! lol!

Oh my, I am viewing the date of when your Parents were born...NOW I really feel old...(sigh)....where is my wheel chair, I am needing it now....just put my teeth in the cup after clearing the drool off me, please.....(hahahah) it can be fun however, being a wicked old guy like me! Weeeeeeeeeeeee!!! hahaha!
My father was born during World War 1.

I remember when he needed some new rope to use in the barn. So he got out his "rope twister" (I don't know the actual name). Basically, he threaded multiple strands of baling twine between a fixed end and the twister. Turning the crank on the twister would twist three separate groups of twine. Then, while I continued to turn the crank on the twister, he took the three separate groups and twisted them together into a rope.

I haven't seen one of those (either being used or just on display) since I was a kid.

How do you think I feel, Pops??? C-dot's mother is two years older than me and Tom's is a year younger! :eeek: My parents were born in 1928 and 1929.

That's when my grandparents were born :p

Johnny Carson.... now that's something that has disappeared in my lifetime.... great late night shows like that.

I really enjoy the Johnny Carson show! I liked when Dean Martin roasted him, too. That was good comedy.
