A Goodwill find today. Haband, mid-50s, hand-painted...excellent condition. But why only one vintage tie there????

John Lofgren Monkey Boots Shinki Horsebuttt - $1,136 The classic monkey boot silhouette in an incredibly rich Shinki russet horse leather.
Grant Stone Diesel Boot Dark Olive Chromexcel - $395 Goodyear welted, Horween Chromexcel, classic good looks.
Schott 568 Vandals Jacket - $1,250 The classic Perfecto motorcycle jacket, in a very special limited-edition Schott double rider style. Because someone else got to the thrift store first and bought all the others ... most of which were Dali ties.
Rummage sale this morning....still in its box. Hand-knitted (I don't think I'd wear, though).

yeah, I've seen a few of those "intact" knit kits.
On a similar subject, quite a few months ago I bought a bag of "printed quarter blocks" of tie patterns, and a bunch of patterns that use the printed blocks. Here're some of 'em. In the bag with them was a length of interlining material and silk-tip end material. The sports ones at the beginning give a good idea of how the pieces of the ties get cut.

Marc, don't do that!:eeek: Man, I had to go back a couple of posts to see that you were just shucking and jiving...

...and at a great price for just 82 cents.
I couldn't resist, and I'm wearing the red one right now (wore the brown one yesterday).
That was a Jack Benny sized price for sure.![]()
Do I hear strains of "Love in Bloom" in the background?
Not vintage, but also not new (70's-80's?)

I believe that the second from the left is c.early '50s, and the extreme right one is c.early '60s.
A gift from a student. Sam Milo, all silk, sold by the M. O'Neil Company, Akron.
