They look great with a suit but they can work in a casual setting too. Stealing Manfred's photo from earlier today.

Also I would suggest going vintage. I haven't come across any production or custom Homburgs that can match vintage. Vintage Homburgs are plentiful in all sizes and usually not expensive.

So true on all of the above and I must admit that color of that hat is awesome !

Randall, Thanks!

Aaron, Thanks! I have sold some of these off but I still have a large collection. Actually I think a couple are missing. :)

Nic, Yes that is an old one. Here are some details. George M. Wilson The Mens Store Inc. Pittsburgh Homburg (size 7 3/8). Nothing on the paper label that points to the company that made it. The price was $6.00. Probably 1920s.

What a beautiful color combination. Thank you for posting these pictures, Steve!
I tend to associate many of the more unusual yet subtle color combinations like this reddish-brown Homburg with the 1920s in particular and with the period between the world wars in general. It's a sense of color that has for the most part been abandoned since, although rediscovered in small ways, at times.

Wore my Herbert Johnson today. Had so many compliments I lost track in the number. It is the deepest of blacks and in new condition. An eBay contribution a while back.

Wow Howard, that is NICE! Where is the noggin shot???

Had to add a week old pic. I did not take one today. I have a Campbell Aqua-pruf Homburg coming that I won on eBay the same color as yours. It is not the Deluxe and it is a 7 1/8. I hope it isn't too small. The one you have is a beauty! I have never owned a light colored fedora or Homburg other than black until I joined this forum. I am breaking down!

Thanks for the kind words! This is the Campbell Homburg I won from eBay the other day and it is in great condition. As you can see by the sweat band it has shrunk. I will have to send it off for a major size increase.

Good lookin' hommie, there. The ripply sweat might simply be from someone having stuffed "downsizing" strips behind it. It should go back to normal as you wear it, assuming it fits you well.

No chance. It is one size smaller than I wear. I bought it knowing I will have it stretched. I don't have very much in it.
