i didn't get any screen-shots of men's trousers from this film but they're all wide.
i love the 20s women's looks in this film, both the mannish ones as above, and the feminine satiny ones that Louise Brooks wears.
there's a lot of great looks for women from the 20s - not just the obvious beaded dress with a head band - but very few vintage wearing ladies seem to go for them.

Fantastic film.

HBK: you are right about female fashions from the twenties. I cannot abide the flapper look. Worst is the modern version of the flapper look (head band and overly short beaded dress) that gets worn at 'vintage' events. Ghastly.

1927 Granite cloth Jacket made by a sporting good company. Something to wear with cream flannels.

Unfortunately, no, just the jacket.

Marc C. told me you had just found that one with the bold herringbone.

Whiles mine has red and blue pinstripe with the granite cloth.

Both great jackets but alas, just the jackets.

And im parting with this one and selling it of to a Lucky Cat

Are the flaps on those hip patch pockets slanted or is it just the angle of the photo? If so, that's a nifty detail I'm not used to seeing. There is also something interesting about that hook vent; does anyone else see it?

very slanted. Really great detail that takes the 20s silhouette further

Ha no. Its a clear solid 7 with a dash though the middle.

I do have a 23' jacket+vest but no slacks, it resembles the teens cut as well but for sure 20's. (post photographs later)

At the set shop sale over here in LA a man had 3 racks of pure 20s suits. amazing amazing patterns on those fabrics. Checks, Stripes, BOLD herringbone's.He gets them from the studios since he is a set maker, so they all have stamped studio names. Next time it happens I'm going to have cash at hand and pick one full suit all for myself.
