With the festivities just a day away who has opted for a hat in their outfit?

We celebrated Halloween in July at summer camp, this was my favourite outfit I loaned out my hat to my good friend who wore it well

I think, just with the way things have worked out this year, I won't be doing anything for Halloween, so I will have a hat, and I'll be crotchety old man giving off about how American cultural imperialism has commercialised and ruined my indigenous folk festival... :p

Business is business.
They've done it to everything, everywhere. Christmas, weddings, etc., wherever there's a few shillings to be made...

In honor of the 50th Anniversary of Doctor Who, I'll be dressing as Tom Baker's Fourth Doctor. I've got a lot of Whovians in my classes, so hopefully they'll appreciate it. I've got a 15-foot-long or so scarf that my grandmother knitted for me back in 1979, and a hat, of course. It's not a Herbret Johnson, sadly, and it doesn't really fit over that big curly wig, but it will have to do.

Last year I was FDR, with requisite hat.

I'll be wearing my kilt, so I'll have on a Balmoral bonnet rather than a fedora. But it will look plenty exotic to my Chinese students.

Inigenous folk festival. Are you a Celt? I know that All Hallows, All Saints and All Souls make up the triduum of Hallowmas, but you should read wikipedia's definition, it goes from pagan to christian and from Gaelic to commercialism. Bounces about all over the place.

Irish of Scots-Irish stock (family on both sides has been in Ireland for at least two hundred years), bleed green.

They don't call it the Pagan Christmas for nothing. ;)

There's really only one hat that my wife could wear tonight. We used to joke about her perceptive ability, she could always tell if someone was being tenuous with the truth. One day she caught our neighbour's son out, something he had said previously, she never forgets, got a memory like a steel trap. The young fella looked extremely uncomfortable, so I told him not to worry, adding that he never had a chance against a witch. And the witch nickname just stuck. So for a spoof Halloween one year. I asked a very talented lady to paint a picture of my witch. She used a photo of my wife when she was younger and borrowed a classic pose from Gil Elvgren. (which is why she chose the younger pose.)

We have tickets to what promises to be, a rather good Halloween Ball.

I posted this in the WHAYWT thread, but I'll add it to this one as well. Wearing a very fine Dobbs Homburg as part of my costume this year. The outfit was a hastily put together attempt to copy the mugshot of William Stanly Moore posted in the Non-Shorpy thread.

Great looking tie!

We did Halloween at some friends' club night this year. My zombie GP clearly lost his hat when he was turned (or perhaps he was indoors at the time...), though I did have a syringe sticking out of my face, with which I was very pleased:

Our World Zombie Day variant this year did see me sporting a hat, though....
