A particularly great batch of hats today.

David: nice Whippet. I have to say that I'm not a huge fan of the Whippet myself because the non-matching binding that usually appears throws me off. But this one I really like. Is it more grey or more bluish?
Andy: Handsome playboy for a dapper outfit. The beard suits you as well!
Perry: nice Dobbs, looks like a Cavanagh edge as well?
Eric: sharp VS as usual.
Jeff: great picture!
Alan: That's a great Disney, and not one I think I've seen from you before.
Mike: Another Whippet? Good to see you back around these parts again.
Steve: Wow....I need to get more European hats because your collection is just amazing.
Richard: very nice! I like the flange on that one. Very bold indeed.
DH: hard to beat those vintage Milans. Looks like straw weather may have finally left the bay area this week.

For me, I tried out this new-to-me blue Dobbs:

David, your collection makes me jealous...just sayin

Thanks, Teach. Of course, it's quite easy when you can wear a 7 or 71/8 :) Good to see your CRM. I'm a brim down kind of guy.

Hatto - very nice looking Dobbs 20.

David; Classic hat in an absolutely great colored felt. That is a HAT.

Thanks, Eric. Always nice to see your Executives - both the Adam and VS versions.

Jeff - great photo in the snow. Seems like only a few weeks ago you still had snow in your area

Alan - great photo of you and Robert. Hopefully he'll be back around here before too long. Nice Disney today.

David, a nice Color for this Whippet, love it!

Thanks so much, Manfred

Dang David you have some beautiful Whippets.

Thanks, Roger - I used to have a few more at one time, but some of the pack have moved on.

Mike - nice to see you back this morning!

David - lovely Whippett

Thanks, Richard. You are certainly making a statement with the American Legend!

Still straw hat weather, DH? It's starting to feel like winter up here.

Steve - very cool Nagy Wien

David: nice Whippet. I have to say that I'm not a huge fan of the Whippet myself because the non-matching binding that usually appears throws me off. But this one I really like. Is it more grey or more bluish?

Thanks, Jared - I think the colour of this Whippet work well together. The felt is a pretty neutral grey, not really any blue in it.

Nice Dobbs - when TonyB made my blue Tumwater it was somewhat based on a blue Dobbs that Delectans (who's posts I'm missing!) owns. Yours has a similar profile which looks great.

Golly those are some nice lids fellows.

Steve; Wow, that is a grand hat. I do like the stunning felt and color.

Jeff; Nice to see your pic today. The new snow is just a taste of the snow to come isn't it.

Perry and HatsRme; Go for it! The annual sales are so very tempting. I am guilty of having new Pendleton's delivered to work, the gym. A few days later I slip them into my returning clothes duffle when I come home. I can not imagine I do anything but sooth my guilty at spending more on Pendletons. I am confident that my wife just smiles behind my back. The benefit is that she does like them when I wear them. The end result, is all is well.

Alan; As usual classy hat shot and a pleasant reminder of RLK.

Mike; Sharp blazer hat combo.

Richard; Bold works for you. I see those hats when swooping thru Ebay offerings and they certainly are tempting. What color best describes the hat?

Jared; Boy that is a terrific color. You are the advertisement for me to aquire more bigger ribbon hats.

Coach; Slick hat band coach.

Just got home a bit ago from the gym. Busy, busy, busy lately. I put my afternoon and evening hat with a couple others that need to head off to boxes and shelves. Perhaps I will do it before practice in the morning.

dh66, Thanks! Nice change up with the stingy Dobbs milan today!

Jared, Thanks! Your blue Dobbs is a real beauty! Classic!

David, Thanks! Your Stetson Whippet is another Classic!

Enrique, You look great in the Wegener! I have to wear one of mine today!

David - you do start the day early. Borsalino has no alliteration with - nor does it rhyme with - Thursday. An aberration. But a fine fedora.

Jared - what a crown on that Dobbs! And stunning ribbon work.

Beautiful hat this morning DJH
SBG that short stack alone is envy worthy, and I know it's just the tip of the iceberg. You have an impressive collection sir.
Excellent Wegener 150719541. Not surprising to see a German hat in Mexico, given the number of Germans who settled there.
JLee that is a righteous looking blue Dobbs. Great proportions to that hat, and you wear it well.
Thanks for the comments about my own Dobbs fellows. Looks like it's going to be cooler the next few days but straw hat weather will be back early next week. We still haven't even had any frost yet.

Wearing my VS Anasazi

View attachment 5805

And some Native American Jewelry. The eagle belt buckle is from the 1960s, perhaps earlier. It must have been a bespoke piece, as it is not hallmarked in any way. The turquoise and coral inlay work is superb, as is the silver overlay. They truly do not make pieces like this any longer. The cuff is a storyteller piece with pueblos, dancing katsinas, and a fire. The turquoise and coral ring was also old pawn - probably from the 40s or 50s - also bespoke, without hallmark. The choker is a new piece - stabilized turquoise, lapis and coral.

I won't bore you all with another picture but wearing my Cane Custom and a leather jacket. Temps dropped 40 degrees from yesterday and it is a cold, driving rain this morning.

The Anasazi is a spectacular hat Andy. The perfect complement to your jewelry, of which you have an astounding collection. I only have a very few pieces, but one of the nicest in our house is a squash blossom necklace I purchased for my wife. The dealer explained to me that hallmarking was very rarely done prior to the early 70s, and then due to an explosion of interest in the stuff and the flooding of the market with other-than Native American made products. Also he explained the crushed stone in matrix wasn't around much before the 60s, so your dating is pretty spot on.
