Yep. It's "Tobacco".
Been exchanging emails with John about an upcoming order....he sent me photos of these jackets to look at the leathers.
He noted the Badalassi is a heavier hide, a bit stiffer than the Japanese HH.

Nice leather, but I believe built out of proportion by the marketing efforts of some companies.

I was just looking at a NOS 48 zip (Talon, WWII era). $160. Might pick it up for a future build.

If going with BK and it doesn't make that much of a difference to you, go with the sure thing.
They don't seem to have as much of an issue obtaining their cowhide.
If Good Wear, not an issue.
