For me medium rare...Daniel has his normally rare...(it stopped moving, sizzled a bit, tossed over one time, still oozing....)...rare. A few times while eating at a nice Steak House, I have noticed Daniel just looking at his Steak. Had to ask him what he was doing.....his reply, "watching my plate sleep".

I can sense in some ways what you mean in your review...and for steaks....medium rare really is about the best.....not dripping with blood, but not so done that you can no longer "savor" the "flavor"....and lets face it....steak well done is already brittle and harder to cut!

It could be that I am more used to El Corojo wrapper and not to Nicaraguan Ligero. It was too heavy for my taste, reminded me of Joya de Nicaragua, a lot of umph but not a lot of finesse.

Joya de Nicaragua has finesse but it is all strong. :p

Humm....that sort of sounds like the name of a middle weight Boxer....."In this corner, we have the champion, Joya de Nicaragua....and then in this corner, we have the challenger......from skid row training camp....Antony "Swisher Sweets" Malone......lol!

After looking at the catalog from Pipes and Cigars, I had to order some Dunhill Range Cigars, they come with a tin of pipe tobacco, Dunhill Elizabethan pipe blend. They seem to look like a dark cigar, so they may be something Daniel will like to smoke.

I already posted about some of the very non cigar names that are being used on a Cigar, Sons of Anarchy....geez, who would think they would put a Cigar name like that? Last night I was talking to Daniel about it, he said, can you imagine the controversy if they made a cigar relative to that one person who does all the exercise videos and is on talk shows once in awhile?....You know...a cigar like, "OH that MAN", (Richard Simmons Blunt).....lol!

Just finished the RP Royale. Nice cigar. As one would expect with a sumatran wrapper there was quite a bit of spice and pepper right up front but about a third of the way in it mellowed and developed a nice cedery sweetness. Not a very complex blend but very nice all the same. The Royale is a medium/full bodied smoke, if you like a blend that has some spice with a bit of woody sweetness mixed in you will like this cigar.

Is this a dark or light color cigar?

Sounds kind of super mild to me. :p
I tried a cigar from a batch a friend gave me. I didn't look closely at it when I cut it I guess because the mouthfeel was really wierd for a second or two until I looked more closely and found a screw embedded in the wrapper near the end! :eeek:  It was fine after I removed it though. :p

Almost "screwed" by a cigar....that is one for the books! I would imagine some larger cigars could have some poor souls finger inside, you know, a bit of one from a person cutting and chubbing tobacky!
