that's one the roughest looking Tootal prints I have seen. Bloody lovely. Comparing that beauty to a 1970s tie is like comparing a Dali tie to some dreadful modern 'comedy' tie with a Homer Simpson print!!!

Grrrrr!!!
Hah thanks TT. It's probably the loudest and craziest Tootal print I've seen before. Ahead of its time really. Quite wide too, although I'm not sure that someone hasn't pressed it that way.

Nice ones gents - I like that the coronet can be three different ties depending on how much you show - waistcoat, jacket buttoned, jacket open!

Here's some I came across:
A couple of Tootals, a 'Boys' and a 'Black Quality'

And a couple of seemingly unworn club ties, both Terylene. I really like them. Don't know if anyone knows the emblem on that one?

Thanks for looking!

Thanks! Yes I thought the same. How old is yours?

Not sure Eddie. I'm guessing 60s. It has the wider point on the skinny end common to vintage ties.

Here's a better pic of the label. I think that store closed in the 80s, but I'm pretty sure the tie is older.

It also has this lovely red lining.

A really less than interesting tidbit. Mountain Brook is a little city near here. It is the 14th wealthiest zip code in the States, so there's no shortage of upper crust-iness here. [emoji14]

Sorry I only saw the first section of your post-
Interesting! It's always always nice to have a local flavour in the ties. Those two club ones are from Nottingham and Macclesfield here in England

Mmm the club tie emblem IIRC looks similar to the Staffordshire? fire service emblem though I could be wrong but I do recall seeing something similar on the side of one of their wagons when I did by B A refresher course years ago.
