Has anyone ever ordered from Signor Sergio Anzani (The hatter)?
I'd like to have the feedbacks from former buyers.
How talented is this hatter?

Thank you!

Karlos;
I think i'd be more concerned about spending all that money on a reliced /distressed hat.
it just seems strange to me to take a beaver hat and beat it up

Well, they also make it out of rabbit fur felt for 150EUR:

Better?

Now, forgive me mate, i'm not quite sure I get your point. What is wrong with this beaver hat? It doesn't look good?
To me it looks very much like The Last Man Standing hat from our friend wcbrown... A nice fedora hat.

(That said, I agree that the one Keith Richard is wearing in the pictures looks like he stepped onto it:) What the heck did he do with it?)

Karlos;
The word "antiqued' leads me to believe that they distress the hat to look used.
as they do with the Depp hat
I'd be sure that the hat was not by calling them to make sure they don't relice it.
That is a term used lately to beat up new guitars to look as if they have the providence of a heritage one
Means poser to me
otherwise sounds a very fair value for castoro.
higher crown in this group is what we seem to look for

Karlos ,
La Cappelleria Melegari produces excellent hats.
I've had many in my hands and I can assure you that they are very well made and finished with great skill.
The materials used are first class and I think in Europe is one of the best remaining to make custom hats.
It is important for you to find what you want.
The hat of your choice is great, but I think you can find other solutions.
Let me explain: buy an antiqued hat is like buying a new car, crashing it a little bit to show that it is vintage.
This is what you suggested Richard ( ingineer ).
Either you have a choice and talking with the hatter Anzani on the hat you choose will certainly have confidence that you have what you need.

The company itself, Melegari Cappelleria, has an excellent reputation. I purchased a new Borsalino from them, which was listed on E-Bay. They have a very solid E-Bay presence, with almost 9,000 sales and 100% customer satisfaction.

This may give you a better idea of how well these hats are made. here it is side by side with one of Art Fawcett's beauties. his interpretation of the Last Man Standing hat. it makes it very difficult deciding which hat to wear at any one time. Arts is on the left by the way and is beaver as opposed to rabbit for the Melegari.

Your photo is pushing me closer to ordering that model. I've been eyeing that hat for a while, love tall square crowned hats and that color would fit well in the collection.

joey I would say if that is what you like, tall, squared crowns this/these are the ones. I would check with Art though seems to me I read somewhere when he runs out of a particular ribbon that is it for that model replica hat.

Thanks WC. I like Art's Broadway model as well, I just might end up with that as well, 1 Broadway from from Art and 1 last man from CM. I have to start curbing my buying.

Just ordered the Last Man from CM in light gray. Price seems very reasonable if, the quality is as described by the forum members, especially after VAT is deducted. This makes 3 I'm currently waiting for.
