Quit smoking. I've said this for x years now. But this time I'm armed with one of those silly vaporizers which seems to work. God awful addiction.

And to keep in touch with relatives on a frequent basis. And to be nicer.

Lose (more) weight.
Be more "positive".
Get rid of even more stuff - we're downsizing life and it's feeling great.
Along with #2, try to focus on "now" and in part, that means less time on phones, laptops, etc.
I've already cut down on buying things, so that's under control. Hard at times, but once you get less things and keep your true favorites, they get even better.
Happy 2016 fellas and gals. Another fun year at TFL!

You guys seem to speak my heart!
#1 I also want to have more internet-free time. So more "real" things and enjoy life more. Go to new places, see new things and make new friends.
Sometimes I have the feeling I’m paralized by all the opportunities. I wanna get rid of this paralysis.
#2 Be more content with what I have and decrease the WAAAANT. Don’t know how to do that yet, but I think #1 could help with #2.
#3 Live healthier and more self-sustaining. Just bought a house in the country. I want to start gardening and grow my own vegetables and fruits.
edit:
#4 Downsize the waste that I’m making. Try to buy less things made of or packaged in plastic.

Have a great and healthy new year everybody!

Zeki,

Also on my list is to get to the DE and spend time in the country with you and your wife!!!

(Buying four round trip tickets to Germany on the other hand may mean I also sell my entire jacket collection so we'll see haha)

That sounds like a plan! Start from scratch.
But you also have to lose weight so you gotta find your new measurements jacket after jacket...

And you're always welcome here. Early summer we should be done with modernizing the house and ready for a family from Seattle!

There's a ton of merit in appreciating what you have. A ton, and it's a liberating feeling to not be preoccupued with "wants". Trying to get there, but up until very recently, haven't purchased any jackets, so I was well-adjusted to living in that "can't buy that jacket I want" purgatory for a year or so.

It's not fun, but it's liveable. And since then I've honestly found enjoyment in things such as family, and just seemingly bland things like getting good grades and working hard in school, etc etc.
One does not need a jacket to find contentment in life. It's difficult to get to that point, but in my year or so drought have realized it's possible. First world problems..,

Man ain't that some truth. I don't know if it's just boredom or what but I go down this rabbit hole all the damn time. In truth tho I think vtg gear is somehow in my blood and I can't fight it

Missing in action
1. Work less (and delegate more).

2. Get out of the house and explore new . . . . (doesn't matter what).

3. More long weekend getaways with my wife.

4. Be a better dad, even when my two teenage girls don't reciprocate.

5. Buy less (unless Himel makes the jacket I am urging him to make, or RMC re-releases the long sold-out jacket I am urging them to re-release, or the sold-out RMC I am pining for becomes available on the used market in good condition, or a GW becomes available in my size, or . . . . ).

6. Be nicer to Bill Kelso / Andy Falzon (but not Simmons Bilt).

Amen brutha. Many years ago, a wise man told me: "Happiness isn't having the things you want . . . its wanting the things you have."

It's so true. Takes a LOT of inner discipline but so true. It's been a good year for me. I decided to move to LA and I'm spending time with family that was absent during my childhood. So I'm building up those relationships and it's great. Jackets or not! I think I'll also agree with Randy Newman and proclaim "I love L.A."

I needed a fresh start and some new scenery. Never a dull moment there. Grateful for all of you fine cats and HAPPY NEW YEAR!

It's still a baby. It can only be ridden in a year or so. So don't worry! I'm not into riding but these are awesome animals to care for and hang out with!
