Nice bash, Mark. Hato-o, the Whippet (and the tie) are great! What color is that Whippet?

Finally starting to get light enough to grab outside shots instead of under the office fluorescents.

Stetson Lamont of recent vintage, snagged off a pile of overstock/sale hats a little over a year ago at the Garland outlet.

I've probably waxed non-eloquently on this before, but this hat belies the terrible things said about Hatco/Stetson production hats. The felt is dense, soft, and fairly thin, with a nice "hand." It was on an overstock pile of sale hats, so although it was at the outlet, and has the characteristic "cutout" holes punched in the sweat, I don't think it was a factory second. The caribou color is a little different from the others I've seen in this shade - more purple to it.

I even like the liner...

Lunch out today with all my retiree friends. We hope to make this a regular gig once a month. Everybody is well dressed, it will get looks and comments, they will probably be admiring Esther's beautifully made hat. Beneath which is a linen suit, a Darcy shirt, a Rocket Originals tie and a pair of spectators by Colin Johnson shoes.
