O.F. Hess "Praga" probably late 1930s early 1940s.

It's often said: A lady can never have too many shoes.
It made me wonder, with such a fine array of lids on this thread.
Can a lounger have too many hats?

A black topper for the races at Royal Ascot,
and a grey one to wear, when friends tie the knot.

Would a Bowler get me a big job in The City?
Would a Boater get me into The Regatta at Henley?

I don't have a Busby, Fez or Pith Helmet,
not that it bothers me, or causes regret.

For I have this Fedora, a work of art.
Meticulous hours spent making each part.

Is a lack of other hats really that tragic?
Not when you own a hat that is truly magic.

A skillfully made hat with a magic aura.
That is my superb Esther Weis Fedora.

Since you guys are all experts,I'm in doubt on this one.
Loosely threaded it, but meh. Not convinced...

First, the red hat is gorgeous in both color and design. If the one you are asking about is the dark charcoal and light olive ribbon one, I think I like that combo too. If it is for you then the colors work with your tone and the clothes colors. If it is a general question, then I think it is something I would wear and like.

Thank you very much Michael.

I am indeed talking about the second one.
It is actually a blue grey. I was sort of not convinced on the wide binding.
Isn't it too wide?
My intention with this is a men's hat, there for I'd thought I'd ask here.

Ah, blue grey. Neither my monitor nor my eyes are the best with color. In any case, I'm guessing the lighter color binding makes the body of the hat appear somewhat darker than it actually is. And for me, if it were thinner it would look like added decoration. Being wider it appears to be part of the hat. If that makes any sense.
