Yeah I remember my DD J-100 having a rather high collar.

Hmmm, my DD Buco is a touch smaller at 30mm even at the front and back.

My Aero board Racer collar is taller at 35mm at the front but 40 at the back.

Maybe it depends what pattern was used, mine is the latest one he got, based on a vintage one he dismantled but I know that in the past he used a slightly different pattern

Mine is the old pattern... pretty sure it's just random luck!
