We had a couple of jacket threads like this but some of us lost our photos due to a change in PhotoBucket so I am starting this new thread in order to post lost jacket photos possibly found elsewhere.

Great idea HD. Many of those lost photos inspired my jacket choices. I'll second the notion on the Bootlegger. My brown CXL steer is the only one that will survive my ongoing waves of insanity/buy/sell mess. Been with me all the way back to Dec. 29 2017. Lined in Brown corduroy/ drill in the sleeves. Have a black steer CR due up soon and I'll add it here as that jacket will mark my retirement from this pursuit.

This ****py Schott. Despite the **** stitching, bad leather, fit that isn't custom and is thus horrible and overall low quality, I kinda like it for some reason.

Great initiative HD!

I love all my jackets but if all my jackets were stolen tomorrow, this Langlitz Cascade is the one I would hope to be wearing that day to not to lose it. Bought it used on eBay and it's incredibly comfortable, range of motion is great and it's my personal king of cool with the combination of cross zip and CR collar.




My Vanson America is also a keeper, but would be much easier to replace, so I don't value it as highly.

That's stitching from inside pockets. Special kind of A-2 worn by 352nd FG...

They are fantastic jackets. I loved mine but it was overkill every time I put it on. We just don't get the weather needed to justify it - an Irvin does everything you need to resist a Scottish winter. Perhaps a B3 might do an equivalent but the ANJ4 is just a beast of a jacket.

I like to wear just a shirt. I find there’s ways to adjust to a hot jacket. I have to hike a big hill with my baby boy in the stroller and start to sweat. Making sure your cuffs are rolled up helps. This has to be done while the coat is off. Collar must be down...Side straps lose... and if it’s still too hot with the coat open but you’re not in a position to take it off, bang your elbows into your ribs like a chicken. This makes a draft in the back of the coat taking out the hot air. I’m sure many pilots did this while flying in WW2. Everybody is a flying chicken [emoji215]
