Ok...to finish the thought. The silver lining thing harkened me back to the summer of 74’. Guantanamo, Cuba, USMC, 6 months.
I hand drew pics of a suit i wanted made from a tailor to the Generals. Gave him my 3x5 spiral notebook pics of every stitch, pocket, scallop etc etc and presto...white suede silver satin lined 2” cuffed elephant bell bottom pants and jacket. Heavy as can be tough as nails suede that could really take a punch. Lol
I think i prob had the TFL Effect...a little early.

I fell victim to the TFL effect almost three years ago now. I had just celebrated my 40th birthday and decided to treat myself to a real quality leather jacket. My initial search took me to the US Wings website where I saw some jackets that looked pretty damn good to me. If only I had bought one there that might have been the end of it, however I decided to keep searching...
I could go on, but we all know how the story ends

I remember stumbling on TFL a few years ago and seeing pictures of jackets standing by themselves and thinking.....who the hell wants something like that!? So stiff and uncomfortable. If only I had followed my first instincts and walked away then lol

But no, something about it intrigued me and it ate away on my subconscious for a few weeks and I came back and it’s been downhill for my bank balance ever since....

My thinking is you’re going to spend your money on something so why not get something durable that brings you some joy in owning? And I can stop any time.

I do not have TFL Effect.

I can stop buying outerwear, hats and/or vintage items any time i want to.
I do not have 22 jackets.
I mostly only buy used outerwear, hats and/or vintage items.
I pretty much stopped reading online about outerwear, hats and/or vintage items in the mornings, and don't go online until after 5 PM.
I usually only buy outerwear, hats and/or vintage items on weekends and not during the week.
Instead of buying high end outerwear, hats and/or vintage items, I sometimes buy cheaper knockoffs.
I hardly ever shop for outerwear, hats and/or vintage items alone.
I can see beautiful outerwear, hats and/or vintage items in my size for a great price and say to myself, Nah you have enough and turn off the computer.
My friends and family have never expressed concern about my hobby/collection of outerwear, hats and/or vintage items.

I do not have TFL Effect.
