First: many thanks to you all for your likes and comments in the last weeks, but during summer I'm a little lazy ;).
Thanks again!

Here in Italy this is the week of the non-stop party at the seaside, in the mountains and also for those few, like us, who stay in the city. Weather plays its part well, after burning weeks. The sun is that of August, but with a slight breeze that makes you live beautiful moments until mid-day, then you have to wait for the evening to move

Panama without a name and with very little form. Flexible and very light, suitable for walking this morning.

Sixties image with big flare. No electric concerts in the fields, only the bells are beating the chimes
Very few people on my path and the parking lots are empty as well as the houses

Buona Domenica!

Thanks. I'm quite fond of this one myself. You're not covering your mug. What happened?

Hat's great btw. You really do a great job on these conversions.

Thank you Serge! It was the wife's idea not to cover the mug. She said covering it looked silly. It keeps bugs out of my coffee though.

Ah, la bella Italia!

You just made me feel like going again, and visit the southern half.
I think maybe next year. Quiero ir a Ercolano e Pompei.

Learning so much from you guys about hats. Thanks for all your great input on my hat "adventures". Decided to try a Homburg today, found a beautiful Cavenagh for my 1st venture into this style of hat. Feels really odd on my head and it fits well but seems too small for the frame of my face and head. Thoughts? I'm thinking I should look for something a bit more substantial like a western style derby, aka Bat Masterson....

Morning is felt time. Dog walk wearing a VS (sage beaver felt with a thin ribbon treatment inspired by the venerable Stratoliners).

Early morning felt time! Best, Eric -
You know, Eric, now that I learned to appreciate American style hats, yours make me feel the same way Steven's do.
To covet hurts, I've discovered, so when I scroll down to look at your pics I expect a little pain.

Will be hot again this afternoon. Well, actually, it will be hot again in about 15 minutes. Time for a little exercise now I think.

Beautiful color, Michael! I want a yellow hat. I think this one's my favorite of yours.

Looking great in felt this morning. Stay out of the heat later.

Sovereign Stetson Twenty
True color thanks to flat light.
If I abandon my usual activies today, perhaps this will stay clean.

Man that is a beautiful hat. Love that liner. Pristine...take it off before you start the dirty work.

Same feeling I got with my first Homburg. I got used to it, like Mike said I would. Now I like it, again like Mike said.
I too am used to seeing you with Westerns, though. :)

It’s a beautiful homburg. I too normally prefer homburgs with slightly larger proportions. Don’t give up on the style, but keep an eye out for a larger version.

Your current hat might yet grow on you. When I made the same observation that you did I was told to by some here to give the hat side pinches in and wear it more casually. Maybe give that a try?

Everyone should have at least one homburg. I think the style fits you well. They are not just for Bankers anymore.

I suggest you visit Ercolano and Pompeii and the southern part during the middle seasons. Autumn and spring in order of my preference. What did you see of the north over Genoa and its surroundings?
