Looks like The Penman, by John Penman. I had one once (second owner) but it was too small and I sold it to @Bill Hughes IIRC. Would love to get another. It's a real nice lid and I love the contrasting ribbon color on that hat of @scottyrocks

Thanks, guys. Yes it's a Penman custom, or rather, The Penman. The ribbon is vintage copper with a moss green insert.

That's The Penman in dark moss I mentioned above. I loved it but it was just too small. I bought it 2nd hand from a gent in The Netherlands, and later sold it to Bill Hughes. Dark Moss felt with matching ribbon, 6 point diamond. A very slick hat.
You posting your new custom Penman has me really wanting to get another one.

Nice, Max! I finally scored my first Marathon a couple of months ago. It's a beautiful hat. I think there is a very good chance our Marathons were made by the Frank Lee Co.
