This pattern (often described as a chore or work coat) turns up with small variations by the better jacket makers. I can't talk to the brand here but if I were getting one I'd take the Aero version. A well made 3/4 length coat will cost $800 to $1200 new.

I agree with @Seb Lucas; go with the Aero. You may pay a little more, but you won't get the three piece back, and you will know what you are getting. With this brand it is a shot in the dark unless you have it in hand and can judge for yourself the quality and the fit.

Y2 makes some beautiful jackets. Being they are a Japanese brand, their prices are higher (when new) than Aero. I wouldn't pay $800 unless it is in New condition and the fit is perfect.
If you are a size 40, take a look in the classifieds: there is a beautiful Himel Canuck in a simiar price range.

Thanks for all the input. I'm still currently in Shanghai, will move back to Canada next month. Buying any foreign brand jacket in China involves paying a hefty tax :) The one the seller shows seems to be "new", not even creased on the sleaves. The sizing seems to be perfectly my fit, but it's remote, I have not tried it, that's why I'm asking. Just a bit tempting, maybe not a good idea :)

Y2 is a relatively big leather jacket makers in Japan. They make lots of leather jackets for other Japanese clothing brands too. IMO, their cut and leather are not as sharp as say mccoys, freewheelers, rainbow country.
