After looking and trying on the new/updated and flannel lined packer at Filson NYC the other day, I'm going to take this off sale and keep it.

At some point this Fall - like today I think that. Now, if that new jacket were as heavy a wool - 26 oz - instead of 24 oz, I might consider selling mine for that as I like the flannel lining, slightly darker and smaller shearling collar is more to my liking.

yup-what he said. I've been very lucky through the years-managed to land some GREAT Filsons...
and vintage Filson can't be beat-construction,wearability,looks...keep your coat!

You bet I'm keeping it. I like Filson - have many of their products but I think they are trying too hard for the hipster market at the expense of their original/older customers. Case in point - this wool packer jacket was a mainstream, classic, always available item. Now - its only offered as a 'limited edition" item - with the associated way higher price.
