Hello TFL-members,

I've read so many positive things on Badalassi cowhide and I tend to order a jacket in the future....and I need to stop reading threads on TFL ;-)
The only two makers I'm aware of are Bill Kelso and The Few.

Are you aware of any other maker, preferably located in Europe? If not, US, Asia is also OK.

Thank you in advance!
Kind regards,
Robbie

Red devil mentioned that Thedi may have some coming in. See #19 below thread

Thanks for your fast reply and I'm glad to hear that Theo ordered Badalassi :) I've just sent him a message hoping that he can offer it! I'll keep you posted.
Kind regards, Robbie

Ken from Aero has just sent me pics of three different Badalassi hides - russet (looks like cognac color), seal brown (very rich color and darker like on the photo) and brown buffalo (20-30 years old and very unique). I think I prefer the russet/cognac one. Here are the pics.

OMG, I'm addicted to leather jackets....I've just ordered an "Original Hercules" at Aero in russet Badalassi with confirmed delivery in January. I'm basically done with leather jackets, however, there is only one left on my long-term wish list - Good Wear Impearial in seal or dark seal horsehide (earliest in 1.5-2 years as far as I know).

If the TFL has taught me anything, you are most likely not "done with leather jackets", and you will most likely not see your Goodwear anytime soon... (or even in two years)

A Thedi I ordered earlier this month, will be the russet Badalassi pictured. It looks just like one of the sample colours Theodoros e-mailed me.

If I remember, I'll post a pic here when I get it in a couple of months.

Long-term being the operative word.
It took me years to save up money to order a Freewheelers jacket which was also a long-term jacket "project". I don't have problems waiting two years for a jacket and I guess waiting that long for a Good Wear is worth it :)

I guess you are a better customer to Theodoros than I am as Badalassi won't be available before April 2019 for me ;-) I presume you must have ordered at least 4 or 5 Thedi jackets from him...I ordered 3 as some of you know :) Anyway, I'm looking forward to seeing pics from your Thedi Badalassi - I will post pics of my Aero, too.

Well that's the thing, it's 1.5 to 2 years wait before you pay your deposit, once you pay it turns into 3 to 4 to who knows how many years wait and all your emails get ignored...
It's a fun ride and all, but i don't think i would join now if i wasn't already 3 years in.

Does it mean that you have been waiting for your GW jacket for 3 years???

Three years in December (deposit paid in December 2015), no contact from JC since February 2018, no response to my last three emails.
A few other guys are in the same situation (some have been waiting more than 4 years)... He talks to people who can make him money quick (deposits, sales jackets and selling on returns), ignores the rest of us who have been waiting years.

Thank you for your important feedback....I think I won't order a GW!

Mine could not be the Badalassi so I may have jumped the gun assuming. The sample I chose looks pretty darn close in colour and texture to the russet pic you posted. The pic I received from Thedi was just a cell phone snapshot.

Middle sample is what I ordered and what Theodoros called russet.

Things might change in the future, but right now i would wait and see.
That is good to know. I was going to contact the guy, but this information turned me off. I have heard that his jacket are the best, but it is a lot of money to be ignored and to wait for so long. I'll pass. Thanks for posting.
