Photos of cool jackets owned by others (non-brand specific)

This thread will one-day make me buy a Fine Creek jacket, it's full of their jackets and every single one of them looks great. Damn.

It's all fake! Fake creases, fake grain, fake everything. Here's a brand new Fine Creek Leon. It's a nice jacket but...

I've said this before, but the single highly grained front panel is somewhat of a signature for Fine Creek Leathers. I don't know how they achieve this effect, but the appearance comes across contrived rather than something that randomly or naturally occurs.

Sometimes an older jacket pops up with this effect (a single front panel with noticeable graining). It's cool when this emerges gradually over time. But when every jacket in your line has it, it's less cool.

I will say this about FCL: they do a great job photographing and presenting their jackets online. Most brands would do well to post better images of their products.

I recall a thread posted quite a while back (can't seem to find it now) where the OP was considering returning a new CR because one front panel showed much more graining than the other. The graining came across unique and desirable rather than contrived and the Loungers were encouraging the OP to keep it.

I think my Walter Dyer naked cowhide CR shows some nice grain variation on the right side compared to the left:

Self Edge is about to expand its line of FCL.

I have not yet warmed up to the intentionally mismatched panels which are apparently FCL's signature.

Interestingly, FCL only produces one run of each new model. Once that run sells out, its gone forever and FCL moves on to new models. You snooze, you lose.

FCL does not customize.

I love the smooth side. My major issue with HH is that I really don't like the look of the way it sometimes puckers and crinkles on the larger panels.

I know, right?
Do you think seatbelts caused this?

Good point, I think you are right and it could be that if the owner wore it open when driving all the times. I just can’t get over how the puckering on the strip of leather next to the zipper only occurred on one side, that’s amazing.

They look like their owners wore them whilst showering!
IMO they look a bit too water treated. I would bet they have been in a washing machine actually, look how curved the zippers are.

Oh yeah, they've been fake distressed to hell and back but I love the end result. I always like the look of these water treated jackets, with wavy zippers and all.
