This might be one of my favorite threads period. The pre-war hats are always the most interesting, especially with the nice details the formal ones have. I'm supposed to be getting my grandfather's 30's homburg soon, and when I tried it on it felt totally different than any other hat I had tried. Keep the pics coming!

Matt, Super! As I mentioned in the German & Austrian thread the "Tell" mark belong to Franz Richter & Söhne, Dresden. My guess is it was made by one of the German Hat Factories (located in what became East Germany post WWII) that produced Wool Soft and Stiff Felt hats up to WWII. It could have also been made by them from sourced (see above) Wool stumps.
