The Weaver Brothers Saloon in Summit County, Colorado, 1890. The majority of saloon drinkers drank either warm beer or straight liquor like rye or bourbon. In an effort to improve profits, bar staff often cut their liquor with ammonia, gunpowder or even cayenne pepper

Nobody drags me!
I used to have to take my wife to a crafts fair held once a yr around a small town square. Street parking was really bad, so I would drop her off as close to the square as I could get. Then I would have to look for a place to park 7-8 blocks away. I would walk back up to a nice beer garden set up every yr in an alley by some church group as a fund raiser (no such thing as sinful money, you know). When my wife was finished looking thru the crafts booths she would come to get me at the beer garden & we would walk to the car to go home.

People facinate me. I enjoy the dedication
they apply to their crafts. There's always
something interesting and I apply it to
my hobbies.
