Makes me remember seeing Red Kelly at the Seattle Opera House. He came out as a walk-on for one tune and he was slayin' the house with the big double bass, baby. At the time he just ran a "joint," as he called it... a bar/restaurant that hosted musicians.

Beautiful set, Eric.

I would like to add to this thread a post I made in the Side By Side Hat Comparision thread (https://www.thefedoralounge.com/threads/side-by-side-hat-comparisons.65983/page-44#post-2482955).

Here are a trio of Stetson Bantams.

The gray sky and a dusting of snow easily show the hues of my vintage Stetson Bantams this morning. (l-r: Blue, gray/green and a gray (leaning towards a charcoal hue)

Thanks for taking a look. Best to all, Eric -

I have a Bantam liner that is missing a hat . DM me if you have a Bantam hat missing a liner I be happy to facilitate a union for the cost of postage .

It’s a small liner that would fit a smaller hat. I show the liner placed inside a vintage size 7 Stetson Open Road with an open crown. I don’t think you’d want to go with a much bigger size as the liner wouldn’t fill the crown and the sweatband wouldn’t overlap the liner.

This is a great idea for a threat of its own. I'd bet many of us have either the hat or the liner for a good many hats. Rather than using new liners, as I do, uniting liner and vintage hat would make great sense. Thoughts?
