Picked up this bench at noon (was on Facebook Marketplace). The manufacturer was around forever, but I can't find one of these out there. Keep seeing cast iron vises and piano stools aplenty. Maybe this is a re-purposed machine base of some sort. Whatever it is it had me at green and rust...

Nice! I hope you're gonna post pics when you get some new boards on it. I trust you'll be leaving the patina as is,

Picked up this box last week. I don't know anything about it other than I thought it was neat. It is not particularly high quality wood and given that scratched into the bottom is "Homer Ketcham 1921", it may have been a shop project. I've got 10 bucks in it and it has to be worth that.
It will hold tie bars and pins, my dress knife, coins from my grandfather and whatever else I want to keep on my dresser.

I'd say it's quite the treasure box. It looks hand carved, and perfect for what you're planning to use it for. I keep all my small but important things like that in an old King Edward cigar box that my grandfather kept his receipts for the taxman in from the year I was born. He made some notes and did some math on the lid. His handwriting on it makes it priceless to me.

Took the long way (through northern Arkansas) to Lampe, Missouri to pick up an old band saw. Stopped at an art/antique store in Gainesville, Missouri and saw this woven blanket (obviously from the Chimayo area of New Mexico) being used to cover a bench at the front of the store for the "junk store cat" to lounge on. We asked if they would sell it and we didn't try to talk them down from the $30 asking price. This is the largest (84" x 54") hand loomed blanket made by Trujillo's Weaving Shop and retails north of $500. The cat hair almost matches.

Across the Arkansas border I snagged a Biltmore hat (a large 7-3/8 so it fits me) for $5 and the mismatched milk-glass salt and pepper shakers for $2.50 (matching is overrated).

This was the band saw we were after (seller's pics). It's from 1931 - 1933 with it's original paint and decals.

Made it home in one piece.

"Equipped with New Departure Ball Bearings" and still running what appear to be the original tires. Was in the same family since new. The grandfather was a Master Pipe Fitter out of Nebraska, then the aunt used it for crafts and the seller just stored it with out using it (hope I don't repeat that).

That's quite a haul, Bob!! $30 for the blanket.... I probably would've snatched the pocket loose from my britches getting my wallet out so fast for that deal. Congrats on it all.

Nice haul! Rockmount makes some great western shirts. Probably the best. I have a wilson leather coat. It's far from the best coat I own, but it does what its supposed to. No shame in that find.

I found a 1940s Beacon blanket robe for $4.My girlfriend found a vintage suitcase, looks like probably from the 50s, for $10. The robe was way to small for me so she ended up with it, but she gave me the suitcase as a consolation prize. It's a nice suitcase, but she got the better end of the deal.

It looks like the park benches in Havana. All the wooden slats have been taken, many used as baseball bats in the myriad street ball games played on any patch of pavement or grass throughout the city

Nice haul!

Thanks Dale!

Very nice! You just knew she was going to wear it better.

I can picture that Bob.
