A girl I was good friends with way back in the early 70s in NY took exactly two courses (Fabrics and Basic Clothing Design) at the Fashion Institute and became one of the biggest shoe designers in the world. She was just absolutely determined and really smart how she went about it.

Schott 441PP collared café racer today over at the West Coast highway down on the beach. Dry but cool and windy as !
This is a steerhide with zip-out liner like a lot of the Schott café racer types. Japanese market made for their importer.
I bought it "barely used" on ebay AKA NOS out of the UK of all places. Quite a warm jacket , hence it's use today.

Sunburst this morning. Awkward pose, but then again I'm awkward by nature, and taking auto-timer photos is kind of an ego-deflating task. Side note: Greg Field made this jacket; I fully endorse his work!

Took the IH out on a shake down ride today. I have a few multi day rides planned over the summer and anything that’s a little annoying on an hour long ride is pull your hair out after 8 hours. It did great. Side gussets are awesome. First time on the bike in this jacket and there was zero push up or ballooning in the chest with them open. I was curious how the non snap down collar would behave at speed. I can attest it’s fine to 90.
Dude, those side gussets are niice!! Gives the jacket a lot of panache, definitely stands out!!

I’ve been raving about them because initially i was on the fence about them and the jacket is available without. SUPER functional.
I was always super curious about IH leather jackets. I'm gonna be honest, I was gonna purchase the Cafe Racer styled version of yours with the side gussets but i heard mixed reactions on this forum about IH leather jackets. I went for the RMC J100 instead. You got me really thinking about getting one dude.. super nice jacket. Do you have more pics of it?

Ih doesnt make the jackets but rather partners with makers. The jackets i have handled that they made with Simmons bilt have been underwhelming. The cafe and this one were made in partnership with Fourspeed leathers. Absolute 10 in materials and craftsmanship.
