I am not brave enough to rock such a ubiquitous pattern as buffalo check with leather. I see plenty of buffalo check out there though without leather trim.

I'd love to see it with a better combo of wool and leather. I don't think the black and red with the brown is doing it any favors. Maybe I still wouldn't like it, but I think a better combo would help.

Both materials are great on their own, but I don't think they work well together here.

I looked at the options and I see that it is available with black jerky horsehide or black Vicenza horsehide, I think that it would look a lot better with either one of those.

^Agreed. I love the concept but would rather see black with the red or green buffalo. The cordo and red is a bit too harsh. Nevertheless I would absolutely wear the snot out of that jacket. I’ve always had a thing for wool and leather combo jackets. To me they really call to mind the 30’s-40’s era “use all materials available” modus operandi.

That one looks quite nice Nick, though its check plaid is going to look much better if use for jacket lining, but outside of the jacket it looks kind of inside out.

There's not a tradition of loud check outerwear in Australia, so I imagine over here it's the kind of jacket that would have people making smart alec remarks about it everywhere you went. Maybe a cultural difference but I would like a much more subtle check pattern, with way less contrast - muted greys and blues, perhaps and less leather - no shoulders, just cuffs, elbows and trim.

Love mixed material jackets like this but agree this colour combo doesn't work for me. Would love to see it in either a darker plaid or some kind of tweed.

I see they've updated the design of their Wool and Horsehide Half Belt too, removed the back action pleat by the look of it but left the seam, kind of a shame as that was one of the features that I like the jacket for.
