I am, in a persistent madness, considering a Statesman in a camel/tan colour, shortened by two inches. It would be fantastic in the winter here. If it can go from being 31 inches to 29 inches in length, it'll work.

Now that I'm overseas again, I can order another one. That's how it works. Everyone knows that.

On the 'usual' shawl collar jackets, how useful are the patch pockets? I'm thinking that I may not be able to go the 'long coat' look in tan, etc., but I also don't want to get just another jacket with slash pockets. Huh, I like the way that I can think myself out of this :)

I can imagine a Thedi version of this...in some lighter to mid-weight "vintaged" hide. It would totally rock!

Yours looks great!
I bought mine 5 years ago, Whitefeathers is a small maker, very nice to work with, but they are in Europe
Thank you :)
I just checked out their website. They are about 200 km away from me and I didn't know that the company also makes custom jackets. I have to stop by when I'm in Vienna again.

I like the small collar. I've got a Thedi cossack with a similar collar which I think looks great.

What I don't like about the Schott is that back shoulder yoke. It seems out of place on a cossack.

It is kind of weird and boxy, isn’t it? A curved yoke would be more appealing.

The short collar looks better flipped up. It seems like everyone around here always wears the collars folded down.
