Pants to go with N-1 Deck Jackets

Now my hope is on you, fellow Loungers.
It is no secret, that I am a big lover of the look and fit of N-1 Deck Jackets.
And some of you know, that a I am tall and rather slim though not lean (the pandemic helped with the last).
I used to love wearing jeans. Japanese, US, trimmer fit or occasionally loose fit.
But since I intensified my hiking activities again two years ago I remembered how shockingly comfortable light synthetic trousers and merino base layers, puffy jackets and so on are.
I have to confess, that I basically live in my puffy jackets day in day out especially since the Pandemic minimized my appearance in the public space other than alone outdoors in my field research activities as an archaeologist. But from time to time there comes the desire to just put on my Deck Jacket again and socialize. But now I just feel so uncomfortable in all of my jeans.
Jeans have always felt cold during the late autum days, a fact, I had willingly ignored because they looked the way I liked. But now I really don't see me in them anymore.

I have some lightweight military pants, some old swedish army wool pants, one old German Bundeswehr "Filzlaus" pants (which is basically patterned after US M51 pants if I am correct) where I removed the cargo pockets. All of these are nice to have but not what I like at the moment. I don't want any kind of re-enactment look but I assume, that an old school N-1 Jacket - I prefer the navy blue one at the moment over the khaki one - does not go well with hiking pants, even with the more old school Fjällraven ones I own in a dark blue color. I start to like the look with ordinary dark grey jogging pants but forbit myself to even think further. Or maybe I will become a trend setter here.

Would you please help a guy who's acute crisis is not the pandemic but the crisis what to wear with his N-1 when going where he should not go after all due to the pandemic: THE CENTER OF OUR CITY AND MINGLE WITH THE CROWD (distance keeping and mask wearing, of course)?

I can not wear my Jogging pants in public. Period.

So ANY suggestions - even military pants - are welcome, most of all when they are combined with fotos of you wearing such a jacket with something not jeans.

They look great! Only problem I see is that the only part of me which is not lean would be exactly where the waistband of this trouser would be. Belly 37 inch Hips 38 inch. Don't want to use suspenders but guess I'd have to..

The High Rise are cut for braces/suspenders, but Vauxhalls have both buttons and belt loops.
Another option are the Plains, which are more conventional.

As kind of a compromise I wore my Fjällräven Barents Pro in color storm/night sky. I like the silhouette I have with this combination very much. The pants are not too loose on me but loose enough. But again: hiking pants... It is a stylistic inconsistency I like though. Better than Jogging pants however. Hoping for more suggestions!

Maybe Lyon or similar from Pierre Cardin. Different shapes and many different colors available, Airtouch for summer for the example. Widely available all over Gernany and often at nice prices. Currently got three of them and and a Deauville, am quite happy with.

Searching for "1947 Model 838A OD7 Fatigue Utility Pants Men HBT OG-107 Baker Trousers" on the web you find a pant style which I could like. I wonder if they are close to the original Swiss Army work pants in grey or tenue blue, which seem to be modeled after US Utility pants. These swiss ones are going extremely cheap, but I guess it is hard to find one in new condition in my size. Does anybody know these, have these or actually wear these kind of pants with N-1's and have a pic?
Of course it's cotton which is a downside. Turnip's source has synthetic choices, which are better for our typical winters. Still hoping for your pics, guys!

This is the style I am after, just not with such a high rise, and these do have a really high rise, I mean REALLY!

If you are talking about these Swiss Army trousers https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Original...-field-trousers-Switzerland-NEW-/253612006639 I had a pair and they were solid and nicely made and great value for price... though I never really wore them much. From what I saw the slimer sizes are easier to find.

I used to go the lined jean route on colder days, if I was going to be outdoors for long periods of time. But I got a pair of the 21oz Iron Heart jeans and they're pretty much my go to for all of Autumn/Winter/Spring now.

When I get tired of jeans, I wear chinos. Light fabric for summer, heavy cotton duck or moleskin for winter. Still very informal, but smarter than jeans. I get them from Gustin because of interesting fabrics.

Cheers guys! I also own an IH 21oz. Chinos also used to be my choice for years, but the same here as with jeans, I am a bit tired wearing these..
These could be good, if only they were a dark blue:

I own a "Monster Selvage" Denim from them. They are really good quality. But Fatigues like the above shown are availlable original in unissued condition. I could dye them myself, maybe...
@10fielectronic: I thought at their work pants. Thanks for the hint to their wool pant! I think I try to get one and see if they can be dyed. The images on the web don't show the quality. Thanks for sharing your experience!

That one in the photo is the Bronson modified deck pants. The material is the same as the shell of the N-1 i.e. grosgrain/jungle cloth which is much thicker than the USMC HBT. The jungle cloth is cotton but it is a rather thick cloth for winter. Another cotton material for winter pants is the moleskin. You may find different style of pants made with moleskin. Jungle cloth pants however are not as common. There is also the corduroy cloth for winter.

Yes, these are Bronson modified Deck Pants. I had an eye on them for quite a while now. Like the color and the appearance with the blue Deck Jacket. If my belly keeps the way it is now, they would slide down to my hip bones though where I had to fasten them with a belt. I imagine looking like a clown in them being worn this way o_O

That above one is the lightest color I’ll wear with my Khaki N-1, I prefer it contrasting rather than kind of tone in tone.

Cheers
