It showed up and I could not resist. I seldom see this rough out style from Mid-Western or most other Deerskin Sewers. Absolutely plain Jane, nothing fancy. Reminds me of the Japanese brand, Tenderloin. They use rough out like this in several styles..

forgot to show this very practical closure. I wore this to the post office to mail a jacket to Arizona. Quite comfortable in the car on a very cold day. The inside of the jacket (smooth side) is rather striking. I will do a picture. The inner reminds me of leather from a 20s Cossack jacket..There is no dirt or particular wear on this jacket. The simple pattern turns the look into 1920s. Probably made in the 60s.

outside and you’re down in Antarctica (actually it’s New Jersey :p).

I haven't seen you, thought you might be in Antarctica breaking Ice, but NJ. Where did Admiral Byrd go? North or South? Did you know of the Admiral Byrd labeled jackets? You should have one. At least I find you a label.

Hey Terry! Thanks SO much my friend. It’s been a hectic time for me the past few months and most of my “new” acquisitions lately have been simple textile jackets off the ‘Bay. Nothing exotic or rare, just good utilitarian designs that I wear to work.
I’m not familiar with the Admiral Byrd labeled clothes, but I’m definitely intrigued! Byrd explored both the North & South Pole regions and made quite a name for himself over the years. Very cool that there’s a clothing label with his name.
Hope you’re doing well pal.

Sorry, no fit pics, but this peacoat impressed me so much i had to take a few pics of it...
5oz Forest Green moose, the colour is as close to real life as i could get it, a weird blue green.
I was worried i would hate it as green is really not my colour, but it has enough blue in it that it looks great with jeans.
Pattern is amazing, it looks super trim and neat whilst still allowing great layering and movement.
This coat really surpassed my expectations in every possible way.

Funny coincidence, it is almost the same colour as my Lada Niva, first time i am matching as much!
I didn't chose the colour of the car when i bought it, when i ordered it i was just told it would be white, green or brown...
In Russia car chooses you...

Wow, hello from Russia! how long have you had this Niva? I wonder where you buy spare parts for it.

Ah! Such a proper interior!!! Clear gauges, 3-pedals, 5 on the floor, simple, efficient and "texting-resistant". I still have a 6-speed manual car, however it's very nearly impossible to find a manual truck in the US anymore.

Anyway - oh for the simpler times...
Now NIVA looks like this..

And a few more words about the niva in Russia, this car is also used for its intended purpose, it is very common in rural areas, as well as it is used by hunters and fishermen, but there are still a few tuning studios. there is also a modification of the Chevrolet niva, this is a slightly different car in appearance, but in the filling it is not much different from the first three-door..
