Thank you so much dor the suggestion , and I did see that ! I do much prefer the previous double rider iteration. The leather was a little different and so was the color of the stitching . I’m on the hunt for either self edge’s version delraiser or the previous double riders version

Did you know Self Edge got a restock of Delraiser jackets in? They currently have a size 38. Are you sure that is your size? They run about one size small, but if you're sure that is your size, you should snag it up! My actual size is about 38" but, I take a 40 in the Delraiser jacket. Pic for reference. FYI:

The Double Rider jackets are also available from Butterscotch LB.

They measure pretty much “true to size” I would assume somewhere around 20-21 inches from pit to pit. Could be a little more to allow for material and the lining. I’m not home right now, I’ll measure and post later when I get home.

Yes, it is an investment fer sure! That’s what they are at this point, an investment. Look at it this way, if you ever get stop wearing it, you can just sell it and recoup most of your money back. I missed out on the first release, because I hesitated. I had to wait 3 years for another run of these amazing jackets. This time, I didn’t blink, went down to Self Edge immediately and pulled the trigger!

Yes will def look at it that way, I have a pretty good collection, i have a J24 , J24 L , and J100 from real mccoys but idk ive always been intrested in this one, i want to sell my J24 so that i may have enough to afford the Delraiser or the Regular double rider from The Flat Head because ive heard so many good things about the leather and the stitching.. ahh hopefully i dont miss out on it.

Honestly… if you already own the J24 there’s really no need to buy the Delraiser, they’re very similar in quality and style. The J24L, as you probably already know is a bit longer, I actually like it better for riding, especially when it’s cold. Your J100 is also a killer jacket. I have the Flat Head version of that competition style jacket. Speaking of the Double Rider by Addict, have you checked out the Tri-Jacket they made for Butterscotch LB? Here’s a pic:

it’s a very “fitted” jacket, almost like a shirt, but once it’s broken in, it’s amazing!

I measured the Delraiser… pit to pit is 20.5 inches-shoulder measurement is 18 inches. This is a size 40. Ok, I hope this helps you choose the correct size. Good luck!

I have a 40 Delraiser as well and my measurements are similar to Merv's. 52cm p2p, 46cm shoulder.

You can see my thread here: https://www.thefedoralounge.com/threads/the-flat-head-delraiser-2021-edition.103795/

Note that I typically wear a size 40 in TFH if I'm wearing the shirt closed and 38 if I want a better fit if I intend to wear the shirt open. My Flat Head cafe racer (https://www.thefedoralounge.com/threads/the-flat-head-srj-06-cafe-racer-in-brown.103567/) is 38. That one actually measures similar to my Delraiser 40 at 52.5 p2p, 47 shoulders.

Thank you both for the information and the kind replies! Those delraisers so amazing! That leather is incredible and the fit is perfect! Thanks for the suggestion Merv! I knew about addict clothes because of the Lewis leathers repros but they have some pretty interesting jackets. Dwilson, had never seen a cafe racer from flathead in that color, looks super nice and classic .

Soft bump..
I will most likely end up buying it retail but i did have a really important question hopefully Merv or Dwilson you could answer?

They have the standard double rider over at Rivet and Hide, and the Delraiser at Self Edge.. have you all handled both? if so any insight into the differences besides the epaulets and the hit & go, adjusters?
Fit
Leather type
Zipper quality
Leather color?

I haven't. There was a member here I can't remember who has had both and claimed the build quality of the double rider was better than the delraiser but I have a very difficult time beliving that. Looking at Rivet and Hide the hardware seems identical. 1.3mm semi-aniline teacore sounds like the same leather. Sizing looks similar. The only differences are the Delraiser specific build differences. I wouldn't mind if the Delraiser had the leather flap covering the wrist zippers. But other than that I do not personally like the look of the double rider compared to Delraiser so I never gave it serious consideration.

The Delraiser has a certain edgy look about it compared to the original..it looks alot like the j24 Real mccoys buco but without the epaulets. I've come across the same type of double rider, the WRJ-53B, but for some reason this one in the pictures looks different from the current iteration offered at rivet and hide. The stitching color, leather grain and the leather shade especially..

I think that is because the one above is black and the one with the guy wearing it is the brown version. I have the double rider brown version and it looks like the one the guy is wearing. The brown is so dark it looks black sometimes especially when new.

oohhh ok got you! when i asked one of the retailers that carry this jacket if there was a black version, they said no, that only a really dark brown is made. You can clearly see the one above is black but they swear the flat head doesnt make the black version of this jacket.
