Very nice! Love the crease!
Also a Michael Gannon, at the Rouge distillery in Newport, with a nice glass of batsquatch!

Great hat. Got to visit Rouge a few years ago, what a place, and beer is pretty great too. I have a little Dead Guy Whiskey in my "medicine cabinet."
Nice! I've never had their whiskey, but I really liked their gin! Their beers are pretty good, I agree! Some are definitely hit or miss, but that's just the nature of experimenting. Was pretty cool to sit in their little beer room, watching them can beer while enjoying a drink! It's a must see when visiting Newport.

We didn't have much time sadly, so didn't get to really try much. My father has done their whole guided tour, followed by tasting room thing. Said you pretty much have to get a taxi/DD because you get completely sloshed by the end of it (at least, pre-covid you did).

The nice thing too is it's right next to the aquarium! Get to see the fish, then drink like one!

Pre-covid there was the orginal Rogue Bar down on the wharf. Hopefully it is still going strong. Good restaurants. I really enjoyed Newport. Hope you guys get to go.

Good evening folks. I took a a walkabout with my dog while sipping a Gunniess Stout. Tonight's 50' f something temps make this darker beer the one to grab tonight.

I have taken advantage of the evening to break open a bottle of Glenrothes Makers Mark. I am opening a 2019 National Geographic reading the Jessie James, Rise of an Outlaw featured article and pics while sipping this whiskey.

The Glenrothes Makers Mark has clever packaging and the signature bottle shape. This whiskey has first filled sherry casks. This whiskey is darker in color than other sherry casked aged whiskeys I have sampled. The packaging says no added color. It is quite a brown or amber hue.

Sherry, vanilla and fruit on the smell. I love the smell tonight. Sherry goodness! On first sip the sherry, muted alcohol burn and then the tannin tastes come through. The taste ends rather quick. It is a rather bitter sherry taste (which is one that I really like compared to the sweet sherry taste).

This is my second bottle. My original tasting summary can be viewed here: https://www.thefedoralounge.com/thr...ch-made-in-heaven.70322/page-271#post-2839607

I had only a small dram of the first bottle as I brought it to a pour at 4:00pm neighborhood gathering. The bottle was enjoyed to the finish that one afternoon. I totally understand why the bottle did not reach me for another dram.

Cheers on this Monday evening from Minnesota, USA, Eric -

It was time for a Tequila run & being burned out on Blancos it was time to move back to Repos for a while. Doing some research first, these two were at the top of my list & price point for regulars. Siete Leguas is a favorite Blanco of mine & I believe it was top for Rodolpho also. Looking forward to the Repo. With a Gannon Highwayman.

Evening folks. I got home before 10:00pm this evening and poured a Surley Supreme for a walkabout. The bright moon made everything brighter this evening. Tonight is a Waning Gibbous Phase. (This is the first phase after the Full Moon occurs. It lasts roughly 7 days with the Moon's illumination growing smaller each day until the Moon becomes a Last Quarter Moon with an illumination of 50%.)

I felt the cool 55'f (13'c) temps after sitting and viewing the moon and stars. A headgear change and a beer refill found me in a cap with a Founders Oatmeal Breakfast Stout. The hearty beer hits the spot tonight.

Tonight is looking brighter already!

Cheers, Eric -
