I shipped my Stetson Temple Navy to JJ Hat Center for some hat repair work. I'm trying to make my Temple look like the Borsalino 50 Grams hat, which is currently unavailable everywhere. I decided on using a Temple as a base hat instead of a Borsalino due to what I perceive as a decrease in quality going from a Stetson to a Borsalino (the felt seems too flimsy to me). The 50 Grams hat is a variation of the Borsalino Alessandria Medium Brim hat, which ships with a 30mm hatband. I found some 30mm grey grosgrain ribbon that I shipped with the hat to JJ Hat Center. They were able to style the hatband similar to a Borsalino, and I also asked them to reshape the crown to a teardrop. The turn-around time for hat repairs is currently 2-3 weeks, so I should be receiving the hat back soon. Overall, this is what I hope will be the finished product:

Sadly no. The Dobbs is 7-1/4 and the Stetson most likely the same (although there were other 6-7/8 hats in the lot that I told them to keep). These will probably hit the 'Bay.

Borsalino. It’s a newer one and the seller’s photos were horrible, but it is a 7 5/8 Borsalino…I hope.

It's actually relatively affordable. It's $49 for the hatband change, the crown reshape is free. The cost to ship the hat back to you is $16.50.
