This is never a good sign:
Off to a black hole...
Been there. Frequently.
I am hoping it is at least a bit blue to the naked eye.
Did you figure out your shipping issue?
Yep, we had a spirited discussion with the auction house shipping folks and I negotiated them down to $35 Canadian, $25 for postage and $10 for handling. Much reduced from their initial 'estimate'.
The United States Postal Service isn't immune to glitches in their systems. Actual tracking on an item I received yesterday:
Nice! Gay Prince?
Adam with some GP stylings. Something I have not seen before
Nice! Your collection is fast becoming the thing of dreams.
Leave it to Adam to take a GP and turn it up to an 11.
Thank you Brent. I guess I owe it mostly to my small and apparently multi-sized head. LOL. Also the fine folks here looking out for me.
The full haul…. And I misspoke when I said Adam hats GP.. it is Lee.
Awaiting delivery of another Akubra for the collection, this one seems to be somewhat uncommon. It is an Akubra Mexican, seems simliar to a Cattleman but we will see. I can't find much information on this model though.
Just came in today. I ain't no Daniel Day Lewis, but I'm satisfied. 100% beaver - whiskey - changes color with the light.
So after inexplicably sitting in a distribution warehouse in my state for nine days (after taking only two days to go 1000+ miles from the origin) the tracker this morning said it left the warehouse and would be be delivered today. Well, I watched the FedEx truck speed past my house.
FedEx be like, "Just messing with you":
That's right, instead it's been shipped to a different distribution warehouse in a different state! Nothing like flinging the poo over the fence and making it someone else's problem. I have my doubts it shows up tomorrow. Based on the reviews this warehouse is even more incompetent than the previous one.
At this rate I'm hoping it shows up before Christmas, if it shows up at all.
I had to reply because I couldn't bring myself to click "Like"!
