OT, but yesterday's CME from the sun is causing the Aurora Borealis to be seen in several states including deep into CA.

Jack; Early this morning I did get to see the Northern Lights again. Spectacular show of colors. I understand that we have a small possibility of seeing it tonight into the early morning. I will wake myself up and enjoy it again.

Tonight after arriving home I have been sipping a San Peligrino Pompelo (sparkling grapefruit water). In a bit I am going to switch to a beer. I was so thirsty that I did not want to just guzzle a couple of beers.

Welcome Johnny. Among the Single Malts that go into the Monkey
Shoulder blend is Kinninvie, and about the only way to enjoy Kinninvie is in Monkey Shoulder or Grant & Sons blended Scotch. You can get close in taste to Kinninvie with some of the Balvenie Single Malts. Both are Speysides. A very good blend. Enjoy!

On the good word of HJ I picked this up today. Can’t wait to crack her open. Also grabbed a fresh bottle of Nonino Amaro, love that stuff, and a giant bottle of Absolut. The vodka was on sale. Gannon Navy up top.

It all looks great, especially the Gannon Alan. I have no knowledge of Nonino Amaro. I picked up a couple bottles of Reposado today & was looking forward to cracking the Cantera Negra tonight after Fri night Tex Mex, but I ultimately stayed too long talking to friends.

The Single Estate Tequila Ocho is already a fav whether Silver, Plata, or Repo.

On the good word of HJ I picked this up today. Can’t wait to crack her open. Also grabbed a fresh bottle of Nonino Amaro, love that stuff, and a giant bottle of Absolut. The vodka was on sale. Gannon Navy up top.

The Amaro is an Italian digestif. I can’t get enough of it and Nonino is the best I’ve ever tried. Quite hard to find around here though. I would recommend trying it but I’m told it can be an acquired taste, it’s got a ton of flavor. As far as El Tesoro I found this; on the nose I got vanilla and citrus. A little oak. On the pallet there was less vanilla, tons of agave (a good thing), still plenty of citrus but also some kind of floral. Has a nice peppery finish too. I think it’s a great sipping tequila. If I had any complaints it would be that I taste (and feel) a bit more heads made the cuts than I usually like, but it got better as I sipped. I’m calling it another stellar recommendation, thanks again. I’m gonna pour out another horn just to make sure.

Sunday morning breakfast beer was a Guinness Foreign Extra Stout. This Guinness offering is certainly more bitter and has a higher abv (7.5%).
