Another 1950s gem I picked up recently.

London cravat with an interesting abstract pattern. The background is a deep spruce green. My camera did not want to pick it up in the late afternoon light.

+1 - a buck well spent. That Wembly is dynamite! I would have spent the whole buck on that tie!!!!

These weren't a quarter, but they were under $5 for the pair. An unbranded hand-painted with a fishing theme (rod and flies, but no fish....just like my last trip to the river) and a Seneca Cravat with a dog on it. I was in Baltimore back in the fall and found a dog head tie in a vintage shop. The pup on the tie looked a whole lot like my dog Peanut. They were asking $65 for it, though, so it stayed in Baltimore. This dog looks nothing like Peanut, but if you squint real hard and it's dark and you've been drinking, it might not look much like my other dog Lilly, either. But anyway, it was only 3 bucks and I didn't have a dog head tie in my collection, so here we are.

Well, I don't have 600 plus......but.....I DO have over 200+ when you count the modern and art ties.............

I've collected vintage ties for a few years (decades, truthfully) but a Hollyvogue has always eluded me. Until now! Not only does it have the buckstitching on the end, a feature I've long admired, but it has little brass studs trimming the bridle of the larger of the two horse heads. AND some pretty killer - if not entirely politically correct - graphics on the label.
