Terry:
All your jackets are epic. I think we all know that and agree.
But...i gotta say what really impresses me, and and i’m sure others have noticed, is how much better your color is since your by pass surgery. It is great to see that. I hope you feel the difference, it shows.
As my cardiologist says...it’s good to get blood to your brain for a change.
Stay well.

Premiere Highwayman in Badalassi cowhide. Had this one for about a month and a half and I've been wearing it just about every day since I recieved it from Thurston Bros. The creases in the arms have set in nicely. It's a 44; I'm usually a 42 in most jackets. The chest, sleeves and shoulder measurements are all spot on for my tastes but the stomach and waist opening are rather large. I've read older threads here extensively regarding the boxy fit of the highwayman so this comes as no surprise, however I do wish it was a bit more trim in the body. I've been gradually cinching in the waist adjusters to compensate for this, but it doesn't address the excess material in the body.

I had an Aero Hercules in size 40 in CXL, but had to sell it for being too narrow across the shoulders. It's been a struggle for me to find the perfect fit in this style of jacket. I tried the Simmons Bilt Two Lane Blacktop from S&S but I found the hide quite underwhelming and the jacket to be uncomfortable to wear.

Thanks, man. Just a plain, old Schott.
Man, nothing wrong with Schott. Nowhere near the level of Schott, but I have a Wilson's leather jacket in this style that I got off eBay for maybe $50 a few years back and I love the fit of it. It's definitely not a fancy jacket, no fancy leather to drool over, made in Pakistan, just a beater but I've grown to appreciate it. Here's a pic after I gave it some Pecards after I used some leather cleaner on it to try and get rid of the musty smell.

I have the same issue. I think the design tries to make room for all the pockets up front. I'm taking it to the Taylor's this summer to see if she can slim it down without compromising anything. Hope it works as I love the style of the highwayman.

It looks beautiful!
You might be able to get the side panels tapered.

I have considered the tailor but decided to let it break in a bit. I would be a bit concerned about the thread matching (classic Thurston olive drab stiching) and about the placement of the pockets.

I spoke with a tailor who suggested this course of action. He said he does it all the time for his own leather jackets as he has wider shoulders, narrow waist, like myself.

Im starting to wonder if this jacket is cursed or blessed. Another crazy incident today. And if you recall, this is the deer killer. I was in the hills scooting along a tight S curve. A car heading in the opposite direction lost control and was heading right at me. She must have been going 60 or 70, way too fast. My first thought was to get ready to do a triple lindy over the car. I was ready to pull it off. Then she overcompensated in the other direction and the car started to roll as it went by me on my left. Felt like I was an extra in a Fast and Furious movie. It rolled over three times, destroyed a fence and ended up by some cows in a field. I stopped and helped the lady of course. All is well. She was more concerned about her violin than anything else.

So, is the jacket blessed or cursed? Lol.

I’m keeping it no matter the answer.
The way I see it, the jacket protected you. Glad you're well.

Ahh most of my jackets are Australian brands......with designs unique to us..... probably of little interest to Americans.
The exception would be my Christie's A2......a reproduction of the Australian wartime contract for the USAAF (V505).... only downside is the synthetic knits rather than wool
