Paul Mason Howard, Dolceolist for Lead Belly as well as a guitarist and songwriter (from Arkansas). As part of the Grand Ole Opry he performed as Paul Howard and His Cotton Pickers.

I really fancied Toy’s steel guitar style. Interesting that you posted this right after a Charlie Daniels post - one of my favorite pieces of Toy’s pedal steel work is in the CDB’s “Sweetwater Texas”.
