Yeah, tremendous fits on both @torfjord and @dudewuttheheck . The trick is finding one from the 90s. Plenty of them for sale in Japan, but expensive. The flippers bought out the US vintage inventory.

The Schott 118 got some indoor AC wear on football Sunday. Fun fact about wearing the bigger Schott’s. Anything larger than a 46 on the website gets an incremental up charge until you get to my size and it adds $260 on top of the published price of $900. I reckon a 52 Long takes an additional cow hide.

Sweltering temps still hanging on here in the Texas Hill Country.
I do wear a perforated jacket when I ride my motorcycle.

Here is a peek at a recent jacket project that I completed.
The project began with a nice cotton canvas motorcycle jacket.
It was a lint magnet, not at all water resistant, and the wind cut through it at 80mph.

The basic bones of the jacket were all in the right place. It seemed like a life on the road instead of the back of the closet was a worthy waste of brain cells.

I've always been a fan of waxed cotton storm jackets and so, that's what I did to it.
Here's a photo mid-process:

What a PITA. Simple melting of wax and application then melting it into the fiber with a heat ***.
At this point I'm beginning to doubt the wisdom of the undertaking but I'm well beyond the point of no return.

It really turned out nice. Stiff as a board and heavy as a mortal sin.
